Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about ordering, shipping, payment and returns in our online shop. If you still need help, our customer service team will be happy to assist you at any time.
Once you have decided on an item and selected your size, you can add it to your shopping basket using the "Add to basket" button. The shopping basket symbol at the top right will take you to your shopping basket overview. If you have a voucher code, you can enter it here.
Use the "Checkout" button to start your order process. You can log in with an existing customer account or order as a new customer. When ordering as a new customer, you can create a new customer account directly with your data or place the order as a guest. In both cases, please fill in the marked mandatory fields and confirm with "Continue".
In the next step, select the payment method and shipping method. Click on "Next" again to go to the order overview. After taking note of the general terms and conditions and the cancellation policy, you can complete your order by clicking on "Order with obligation to pay". You can cancel the order process at any time by clicking ‘Back to shop’.

You will receive your invoice by email as soon as your order has been processed in our warehouse. Alternatively, if you have not used a guest account, you can also view the invoice in your customer account under "Orders". To do this, simply click on ‘Show details’ for the respective order. All order information will then open, including the option to call up and download the invoice as a PDF file.
ara is required by law to collect applicable sales tax on all purchases shipped to states in which ara has a physical location or its affiliates operate in. The amount of sales tax that will be added to your order is based on the state to which your order is being shipped, the standard sales tax rate in that area and the total dollar amount of your order. Some states regulate that we must charge tax on the shipping charges as well.
If you feel that your product is defective and you are unable to return it to the original place of purchase, please submit a WARRANTY CLAIM . Once we receive your shoes and they are inspected, we will contact you by e-mail. We pride ourselves in our quality and we want to ensure that you have the best possible experience shopping with us.

The delivery time for items in stock is 3-5 days.
Yes, you can track your order via DHL. As soon as your order has left our warehouse we will send you an email with the DHL tracking number with which you can track the whereabouts of your shipment.

Only ara Shoes that are made with GORE-TEX® lining are waterproof.
This is best done by using shoe trees when the shoe isn't being worn. The best types are shoe trees made out of unvarnished sandalwood, which also extracts moisture from the leather.
Give the shoes plenty of time to dry. Remove the insole and let the shoes dry naturally and never expose them to artificial heat which can damage and distort them.
