Size guide

What shoe size do I need?

In the United States, shoe sizes are typically measured using the US sizing system, which is based on whole and half sizes. Most customers are familiar with their regular US shoe size and use it as a reliable starting point when shopping for footwear.

Because fit can vary depending on foot shape and style, many ara shoes are also available in half sizes to provide a more precise and comfortable fit. To help you easily find the perfect size, we have created a comparison chart below that shows how US shoe sizes correspond to other international sizing systems.

Our shoe widths

In our collection, models start with width “F”, which corresponds to a narrow fit. Width “G” is our “ara standard width." In many brands, most shoes have the standard width, designed for average foot shapes. For wider feet, classic shoes are often too tight and can pinch. That’s why we are especially proud of our selection of models in wide or comfortable widths. These shoes are marked with “H” and offer more space in the toe, sole, and instep areas. Don’t worry: the comfortable widths are subtle, and our pumps still retain their elegance!

Individual shaft widths for ara boots

Our customers are as unique as their legs. Our ara boots provide ultimate comfort thanks to an optimized shape. Just as with our shoe widths, we also offer different shaft widths for boots. This allows our customers to choose the shaft width that fits them best.

In our video, we show you how practical zippers and elastic bands make it easier to put on your shoes and improve their fit.
