Size Chart
What shoe size do I wear?
In Europe, shoe sizes are given in whole numbers, also known as "French sizes," "European sizes," or "German sizes."
These size markings are the most widely used in Europe, and most of us know our European/French shoe size precisely.
However, since whole sizes can be too inaccurate to guarantee the perfect fit, many of our models are also available in half sizes. For this, we use the UK sizing system. To ensure you always find the right ara shoe size, we have displayed both sizing systems side by side.
How do I choose the right shoe width?
Most people know their shoe size exactly. Width, however, is a different story. This characteristic is crucial for walking comfort and foot health. To measure your shoe width, follow these steps: Stand upright and distribute your weight evenly on both feet. Ask someone to wrap a measuring tape around your foot (across the widest part of the sole). Enter the result in centimetres into our shoe width chart. The same principle applies to width as to size: if you fall between two widths, choose the larger one. This ensures your foot has enough room.
Our shoe widths
In our collection, models start with width "F," which corresponds to a narrow fit. Width "G" is our "ara standard width." In many brands, most shoes have the standard width, designed for average foot shapes. For wider feet, classic shoes are often too tight and can pinch. That’s why we are especially proud of our selection of models in wide or comfortable widths. These shoes are marked with "H" and offer more space in the toe, sole, and instep areas. Don’t worry: the comfortable widths are subtle, and our pumps still retain their elegance!
Individual shaft widths for ara boots
Our customers are as unique as their legs. Our ara boots provide ultimate comfort thanks to an optimized shape. Just as with our shoe widths, we also offer different shaft widths for boots. This allows our customers to choose the shaft width that fits them best.
